Incident Response

CRJV has a team of highly trained maintenance operatives available on a 24/7 basis to respond to emergency incidents as they occur across the Network. We use a fleet of fully equipped and marked Incident Response vehicles to carry our incident response teams. All incident response crew members are trained to deploy emergency traffic management anywhere on our high-speed road network. Vehicles are equipped with traffic management cones and signs, environmental spill kits and chainsaws for tree removals.

Winter Maintenance

The winter maintenance season runs from 1st October to the 15th May. CRJV uses its fleet of 18no. new prewet salt gritters to deliver precautionary and reactive treatments across Network B which makes up 256km of motorway and dual carriageway. CRJV has a team of trained winter service decision makers who monitor weather conditions throughout the winter period. Treatments are delivered using a mixture of directly employed and contract winter service drivers, expertly managed by our team of Winter Service Supervisors.

Routine Works

CRJV delivers routine maintenance and inspection works on the MMaRC contract and regularly for Local Authorities as one-off and seasonal contracts. Works include:

  • Litter picking
  • Tree felling
  • Road sweeping and gully cleaning
  • Structure maintenance
  • Road lighting maintenance
  • Graffiti removal
